spending this week in Kansas City taking ReStore training. beautiful city, and there was a foot of snow in northern Alberta when i left. no contest

If only they could move the Canadian border south by about a thousand miles the new territory would immediately be a lot more civilized and the people could be much more comfortable. Sounds okay to me and I have a lot of American friends who wouldn't mind waking up tomorrow to discover they'd become Canadians overnight.

Enjoy the city as we swelter with the hottest November since records were first kept – every year we break records for heat waves!! I trust you enjoyed the Kansas stay to soak up all of the training - I would not have thought you needed too much!

su - sadly, the border's not moving, and the !*#@#^&^*# cold is a wee deterrent. i hate the cold.
ll- it's just a crime that we're way too cold, and you're way too hot. there's got to be some way we can share those over-blessings!!! Kansas City was fab, but didn't end well. more later.
it's a pretty city. and it feels a lot bigger than it is, in an oddly midwestern way.

sera - it's a lovely city. i walked a lot along Westport Road and up Broadway. lovely old brick buildings, and live music everywhere in the evenings..... and the roses were still blooming there when i came home to snow and ice.
su - safe, and reasonably sound.... heading for burnout if i don't make some changes....
zee - i was singing that all month before i went. great song.... did my best, but never made it to 12th street and Vine.....
