It's over

This is Laurie. Artist, musician and gardener extraordinaire. Weaver. Philosopher. Educator. Devoted friend.

Laurie died last week in a scuba diving accident on the Sunshine Coast. She was one of my dearest friends. A sister to my soul for over 25 years.

I am broken.

Oh no. I'm so very sorry to hear this and I understand it will take a while for you to come to terms with your shocking loss. Please look after yourself and know you are loved both here and beyond here. Love doesn't stop.

Oh, this is too sad. Words sound so trite. My heart goes out to you.

I am so sorry. I lost my good friend Michael in January. Pain and loss...nothing can ease it but time - and memories of love and goodness.

Hi Granny
A loss that weighs heavily on the heart so I’m very sorry to hear about this. But your friend’s spirit would no doubt want you to make the most of your life in her memory to continue the bond with others which you both enjoyed together. In that sense her spirit lives on in one’s past treasured shared thoughts and kinship.

Best wishes

Oh, Dear One.
I am so sorry to hear this. The very first time I found your blog your post was of this weaving, and friend.
Bless you, as you wend your way through the sorrow. A dear friend is as precious as Life, IS Life itself. My heart and prayers are with you.

thank you all for your kind words. they mean a great deal to me. i don't think i've hit the bottom of this grief yet, but will be back in the loop before long, i think.

Dear Gfid,
If I had your email address I'd send you a letter. If I had your home address I'd send you a present. Instead, all I can send you is my hope you really will be back soon.
Love,
Susan

Dear GF
don't take it personal, but I do also have my own obstacles these days and therefore don't "visit" blogs a lot, though you and others are still very much in my mind.
Had a strange "death experience" not long ago, unexpected...
Wrote a song about it.
It is this entry on my blog, there is an embedded player on that post.

I am respectfully sorry for your loss; it is harder for the living to come to terms with death.
Strength to you!

heartfelt thanks for all your kind words. it's spring. new beginnings. grief intrudes, but doesn't overcome the blessings. tears shed in the sunshine are taken less seriously than those shed in the dark.

this is a not-so-randomly-generated hug got you.
