Very beautiful - very cold.

A haiku for Grannyfiddler

beneath frozen crust
faint heartbeats slow breaths in out
life will rise again

Glad it's warmed up! -40 is TOO cold.

I just looked it up. -40 is -40 be it Fahrenheit or Centigrade.

That's cold. The sky is lovely though.

I'll stop complaining about our weather now.

Hugs from
granny no fiddle in sunny California (60 F today)

gary - beautiful haiku. thank-you. only a northern dweller would understand the need to be reminded winter can't last forever.... for it often seems it will.

cicero. yes, thanks, it's warmed... there's a possibility of rain on the weekend. there's something unnatural about -40 and above freezing within the same week. i just hope temps don't plummet again if it rains.

Granny No-Fiddle - hi there! i haven't been 'out' much lately, except to answer contributors to my own blog... swamped. thanks for stopping by. yep, -40 is bloody awful no matter how you measure it! thanks for the hug. hugs are WARM!!!!

These photographs are just beautiful - I have to stop by more often so I don't miss these gems.

I'm happy to hear it's warmed up there.

We might make it to 0c today.
