Oklahoma!

Since last August, i've been musical director for a musical production in nearby Grande Prairie. Oklahoma! opened Feb 21, and has been getting good reviews.

Very nice. I never tire of Oklahoma or any of the other R&H musicals. Congratulations on a job well done.

I hope it doesn't bother you that your full name is included in the review.

granny - thanks - the show is sold till it closes in 2 weeks!! and it's making the theatre gobs of money! wasn't sure if the name thing was a good idea, but i don't live in the city where the paper was printed, so it's not too scary.

LL - thanks! it's a lovely little theatre. great to play in, and great to go to shows in. mic's can be a collosal pain in live theatre. it's so hard to pick up all of the sounds, all over the stage, and keep everything balanced. so it's a treat not to have to mess with them.

I love 'Oklahoma' too - in fact, musicals in general are wonderful. Good work.

susan - i'm taking my 7 year old granddaughter to the show on Thursday. can't wait to take her backstage and show her how the magic happens. she loves music, costumes and playing 'dress-up', but she's never seen live theatre before.
